At approximately 5:06 PM, Station 17 was activated for wildland on fire rapidly spreading in the area of Sloan Rd in Allenport. Chief 17 arrived on scene and reported multiple acres on fire and that the location of the fire was closer to Mt. Tabor Rd in Long Brach. Station 16 (Roscoe VFC) was added for manpower and that it was a borderline call in their area as well. Crews operated for roughly 2.5 hours stopping the spread, putting out hot spots, and extinguishing the fire. Great work to all!
