This brings us to 10 fully trained wildland firefighters in our department and they now will serve on the Forbes Region forest fire Warden Team. This team is made up of DCNR trained firefighters and they can respond all over the state, if activated, for wildland fires. As we see, wildland fires are becoming more frequent especially during the spring and fall months.
