At approximately 5:06 PM, Station 17 was activated for wildland on fire rapidly spreading in the area of Sloan Rd in Allenport. Chief 17 arrived on scene and reported multiple acres on fire and that the location of the fire was closer to Mt. Tabor Rd in Long Brach. This team is made up of DCNR trained firefighters and they can respond all over the state, if activated, for wildland fires.
